After obtaining his mechanic's license in Germany, Karl Schmid immigrated to Canada and in 1959 began working for the Volkswagen dealer in Sarnia. In 1967 he and fellow mechanic, Willi Fuerst, formed a partnership and opened Willi and Karl's Service Centre at the Texaco location (now the site of Global Donuts) on London Line.

Willi and Karl's is a NAPA Auto Care Center, meeting high standards of ethics and service. This also ensures high quality repair and maintenance parts for your vehicle.

As Willi and Karl's celebrates 45 years of providing great service to its loyal customers, Chris and his team are here to provide for all your auto care needs.

Having become established, and building a reputation as 'specialists' in Volkswagen parts and service, they moved to the current location at 1682 London Line. Karl 'officially' retired in 2003 and his son Chris, who apprenticed in the family business and became a certified mechanic, took over ownership and continues the tradition.
